Emotion focused skills course for parents

How do we deal with our children’s emotional rollercoaster rides? How can we as parents set effective boundaries? How can we feel positive connection again despite many conflicts? And how can we reach a child who seems emotionally unreachable? These are some of the questions parents of children with challenging behaviour often ask themselves and professionals when seeking help and advice.

The Emotion Focused Skills Training (EFST) is an innovative, research-based and highly effective support program for families, developed by Canadian therapist Joanne Dolhanty. It supports parents of children of all ages facing social, emotional or other challenges (such as educational challenges). And it helps parents find their way through the maze of emotions, discover ways out of helplessness, (re)establish a healing relationship with their child, and regain their ability to act.
